LABIDCO Waste Treatment Facility

The LABIDCO Waste Treatment Facility, KAIZEN Waste Treatment Facility is managed and operated by Kaizen International Inc. [Kaizen] of Alberta, Canada, through its local subsidiary Kaizen Environmental Services (Trinidad) Limited, WASTEservices Division. 

The Facility provides the most comprehensive industrial and oilfield waste disposal services in Trinidad & Tobago.

The Facility site was originally built by Kaizen for the purposes of oily waste remediation, associated with the remedial and reclamation works to the Brighton Oilfield of the Petroleum Company Of Trinidad & Tobago (Petrotrin), for the purposes of constructing the LABIDCO Waste Treatment Facility Industrial Estate.  The Petrotrin site land utilization had previously been associated with an oil production field, which included a refinery, tank farm, approximately two hundred oil wells, a gathering station, battery and a number of oilfield pits.

The Facility is located on the LABIDCO Waste Treatment Facility Industrial Estate in southern Trinidad. Access to the site is facilitated along existing paved roads from the main estate road.

  • The LABIDCO site has been reviewed by both the EMA and the Ministry of Energy, the facility currently has it’s application for CEC (certificate of environmental compliance) submitted to the EMA.

Through its custody transfer program, analytical infrastructure support and efficient documentation of waste treatment process the LABIDCO LTF offers the waste generator all the due-diligence required for the appropriate site for its’ waste disposal needs.
